Upcoming courses

Holding a first aid certificate is a requirement for SMTO Membership. In particular, the first aid training needs to be done face-to-face. SMTO does not accept any online first aid training.
You need to attend a First Aid course once every 3 years which must be at least 4 hours long. This can be an Emergency First Aid, a Sports First Aid or a First Aid at Work course, all of which are 4+ hours of attendance.
You can complete your first aid through SMTO or through another training provider such as St Andrews' or St John's Ambulance or the British Red Cross. You can also choose to add on Defibrillator training but this is not a requirement for SMTO.
Below your will find a list of First Aid courses SMTO affiliated schools are running during 2024. These courses are significantly cheaper than attending an external provider, only costing £75.
